The Beastly Covenant is an amazing adventure, about a girl named Kira who tries to stop a war and find out who she is. Orphaned at a young age, Kira was taken to the Temple of Water & Light and placed under the tender care of the Head Priestess who was her mother’s best friend.  When the Head Priestess dies Kira is falsely accused of killing her and sent away, but what they don’t know is the Head Priestess has trained Kira for this day and she must go and summon the Dragon Warrior. Kira ventures to Dragon's Cave to offer herself as a sacrifice to this dangerous beast in order to save her beloved town. What she does not expect is to start to fall in love with her Dragon Warrior along the way.

Tobias is a Dragon King that will do anything for Kira he will protect her and see to all her needs and care for her like no one else. Even if it means giving his own life for hers, as they journey to stop a war and find out who is trying to kill her. She finds lost family along the way, but she’s hiding a dangerous secret from Tobias that may end up getting her killed along the way if the people after her don’t get to her first..

From Chapter one I could not put this book down! It was filled with action, adventure and romance. I love how Kira and Tobias’s relationship grows along the way. Kira is a strong young woman but also gentle and caring she will do anything for her people, and Tobias well He’s really hot!!!  He will do anything for her what girl does not want that right! The Beastly Covenant was a really fun read I would defiantly recommend it!

Dirty Blood (Dirty Blood #1) by Heather Hildenbrand

(Book Description)

I killed a girl last night. I did it with my bare hands and an old piece of pipe I found lying next to the dumpster. But that’s not the part that got me. The part that scared me, the part I can’t seem to wrap my head around and still has me reeling, was that when she charged me, her body shifted – and then she was a wolf. All snapping teeth and extended claws. But by the time I stood over her lifeless body, she was a girl again. That’s about the time I went into shock… And that was the moment he showed up.

Now, all I can do is accept the truths that are staring me in the face. One, Werewolves do exist. And Two, I was born to kill them.

(Review)

I loved this book, the plot was great and I love a good strong main character. Tara is strong, independent and well she’s just kick ass! Her world as she knew it completely changed one night, she met her then boyfriend for dinner and to play some pool, long story short they broke up because football seemed to be more important than anything else. When she was about to leave she realized he was the one who brought her there so she would have to take the bus, she took a short cut though an ally on her way to the bus stop. As Tara got closer to the bus stop she noticed a woman standing there and then her body shifted – and then she was a wolf. All snapping teeth and extended claws. Some hidden instinct kicks in and Tara manages to kill the wolf-girl, sustaining some minor injuries. Hot sexy Wes Shows up and poor Tara is in shock He takes her home and makes her forget.

The next day Wes shows up and starts explaining things she thought where only in books. What happens when things are not the way you thought they were and then some other wolf pack tries to kill you. But when they take someone you love you will do anything to get them back even if it kills you. I’m officially addicted to this series!  And I’ll be getting book 2 as soon as I can!  I loved the action the way Wes and Tara relationship grows and all the twists and turns and OMG I love Tara’s Grandma  you will know what I mean when you read this book she is bad ass!

C.C. Hunter paints an amazing picture in this 3rd book in the Shadow Falls series.  I’m so happy Kylie Finds out what she is in this book! The wait is finally over and wow the way this book ended had me wishing the 4th was out.  So many questions are answered, but new ones also arise along with new threats.  Get ready to laugh and cry Taken at Dusk will have you not wanting to put it down till it’s over!

Kylie is dying to find out what she is, and with this new ghost who can’t remember who she is she has no idea how to begin to help her.  Mario and Red are still out to get her; Lucas and Derek are still fighting over her and with a new threat on the horizon things can’t get any worse can they? If that’s not enough the ghost keeps repeating “Someone lives and Someone die”.  Trying to find out who is going to die is the hard part no matter how many times she asks she gets the same answer every time “one will live and one will die.” Kylie is also trying to deal with her new powers, which seem to keep on expanding more and more.  From page one this book takes right off, with all the twists and turns it will leave you sitting on the edge of your seat.
