The Witch’s Dream begins with B Team on loan for temporary assignment to Black Swan headquarters in Edinburgh where they are supposed to fill in for stretched-thin resources and assist with a werewolf issue. They’ve been given permission to stop in Ireland for a few days and help Ram and Elora celebrate their handfasting at the palace in Derry.

When they reach Edinburgh, the afterglow of an elftale wedding quickly turns all business. A missing person report turns into a demon abduction. A simple werewolf sanction becomes a diplomatic issue requiring the one thing Elora is no longer willing to give - finesse.

From New York to Ireland to Edinburgh to Siena to the Texas Hill Country to Napa Valley. From promises to rages to hunts to epiphanies, emotions intersect to prove that true love can find you when you’re least expecting it – even when you’re far, far from home.

Erotic quotient: Some steamy scenes. No ménage. No BDSM.

Cover Reveal for Fallen From Grace by K Anne Raines

Coming in Late December
Book Description

Seventeen year-old Grace grows up knowing she’s different, but she always attributed it to a mother who didn’t want her, a father who abandoned her, and a curse that sets her apart. Despite those struggles, her grandfather remained her rock and confidant. Her life irrevocably shatters the day her grandfather dies.

The day of his funeral sets off a chain of events, making Grace question everything she’s ever known to be true, and as a result, who she can truly trust. She inherits his house, part of his money, his Guardian and something that ties them together.

Just before Grace’s 18th birthday, she is thrust into a world she couldn’t fathom existed and does everything she can to thwart the destiny suddenly forced upon her. She’s been chosen for greatness, but at what cost? With eyes now open, she must choose to either be Chosen, or watch those around her suffer the consequences.

Torn between the man who’s come to protect her and the one sent to destroy her, she teeters on the edge of decision, trying to come to grips with who she is, what she wants and what all of that means for her, those she loves and the rest of mankind.

Blood Dept Tour

BloodDebt(Touched #1)by

5/5 Stars
Published July 15th 2012

Book Description

Her whole life, it had just been the two of them. Before her mother’s last breath, she gave Camille the information she had craved her entire life: the identity of her father. Daring to contact him, Camille was welcomed by an entire family she never knew existed. But nothing comes without a price, as she discovers when her family claims a legendary heritage tracing back to a centaur touched by Zeus.

As she learns the secrets of her Centaur bloodline, she is drawn into a forbidden love with Drake. Her life may be the blood debt required to pay for her mother’s transgressions. The same person who once held her mother captive, and forced her into decades of hiding, now controls Camille. Her only chance is to seek a piece of her mother’s past that will win her freedom and the life she desperately wants.

Review:

Blood Debt is an amazing well written story that will leave you breathless and wanting more! I’m a huge of Greek mythology and this book is so unique and fascinating. What amazed me the most was the amount of depth and emotion this book has. The story really pulls you in I cried and laughed a few times and you really feel for what Camille is going through, Losing her mother to breast cancer and then finally finding out  her father’s name and where he lives is a lot to take in. If that is not enough when he finally goes to meet her dad she finds out she has 5 older brothers who are so happy to have a sister and they all grow to lover her. Just when things are looking up they take a nose dive and Camille finds herself thrown in to a world she never knew existed. Camille must fight for her life and for the lives of her friends and the man she loves and if she loses she may not only lose her life but the lives of the ones she holds dear.

Camille is one strong young women for all that she has been though. Being kidnapped and pretty much tortured she still remains strong and refuses to give in and back down.  Her will alone made me love her she is one of my favorite characters in this book by far.

This is defiantly a book you want to read. I was not able to put it down its addicting and fast paced. Blood Dept Just made made it on the top of my best read of 2012 list.

Fourth Grave Beneath My Feet book tour!

I am thrilled to have author Darynda Jones here today for her Fourth Grave Beneath My Feet book tour!

1.       Tell us 2 things about yourself that no one knows about you?

Ack! Um, okay, well not many people know that I was in Tae Kwon Do in high school, but I only got as far as my blue belt. And I don’t think many people know that chocolate made me deathly ill growing up, but now I can hardly live without it. I know, weird.

2.       Can you tell us about your challenges in getting your first book published?

Sure! They are pretty much the same as other writers’. I wrote a manuscript and sent it out to every agent under the sun only to receive rejections from every agent under the sun. So I wrote another manuscript, a YA, but didn’t really do much with that one. (It has since sold and came out in October.) Then I wrote First Grave on the Right. I entered it in the RWA Golden Heart, which is a very prestigious contest for unpublished writers, but I only entered it to force myself to finish the manuscript that sat on my desk half-completed for two years. The deadline drew near, so I hurried up and finished the last half in two weeks, sent it in and promptly forgot all about it. Imagine my surprise when it finaled. No, really. I was stunned.

The GH final forced me to kick it into high gear. I figured if I didn’t take advantage of that situation, I was a fool, so I polished the manuscript and queried agents. Long story short, within a couple of weeks (and after years of countless rejections), I had eight offers of representation from some of the most amazing agents in the biz. It was ridiculously stressful. I had dream agents knocking on my door (metaphorically). Choosing between them was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do in my life, but I have to admit, I am in love with the agent I chose, Alexandra Machinist. She is like a nuclear powerhouse. I got to meet her face-to-face at the RWA National Conference where First Grave won the Golden Heart for Best Paranormal Romance Manuscript. Yep, stunned again.

After the win, we had editors requesting the manuscript, so my agent sent it out before we’d planned to and within a week we had our first offer. After a few more houses offered, we decided to accept a preempt from my amazing editor, Jennifer Enderlin from St. Martin’s Press, and I couldn't be happier. Jen and everyone at SMP are amazing to work with. I highly recommend getting published with them. :)

But again, the challenges I faced were the same ones all writers face. How does one get an agent to notice her work? How does one go from the slush pile to published? Every writer’s journey to publication is a little different, but I hope mine will inspire. It took me 7 years of writing seriously toward publication to get published. Don’t give up, but at the same time, don’t be a stubborn mule. Learn the craft. Hone your skills. And realize this is a business. Rejection is nothing personal. Keep striving to do better and persevere.

3.       Which character speaks the loudest, to you? Do any of them clamor to be heard over the others?

Charley. Definitely Charley. I swear I channel her at times. She is such a fun character to write. When I am writing a Grave book, it’s like visiting an old friend.

4.    What is best writing advice you can give?

As we say in the publishing world, finish the d*#m book. You can’t sell a half-finished book, so do anything and everything to get the book finished. And read! Never, ever, ever stop reading.

5.      What environment you write in. Do you use a pen and paper, laptop? Quiet room or music?

I have a gorgeous office in which I could live out my days a happy camper. I write on an iMac that I am furiously in love with, but I also have a MacBook Air for travel that I love almost as much. And I write in utter silence. There is so much going on in my head, music only adds to the chaos.

6.     Is there anything that you would like to say to your readers?

THAAAAAAANK YOOOOOOU!!! That is all.

No, really, readers have made all my dreams come true. How does one person thank another for her livelihood? For her dreams realized? So yeah, just thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Thank you so much for having me!!! ~D~

The fourth in this fun and sexy "New York Times" bestselling paranormal series: "If you enjoy Evanovich's Stephanie Plum, you will certainly enjoy Charley Davidson!" --"Suspense Magazine"In Darynda Jones's "Fourth Grave Beneath My Feet," sometimes being the grim reaper really is that. Grim. And since Charley's last case went so awry, she has taken a couple months off to wallow in the wonders of self-pity. But when a woman shows up on her doorstep convinced someone is trying to kill her, Charley has to force herself to rise above. Or at least get dressed. She quickly realizes something is amiss when everyone the woman knows swears she's insane. The more they refute the woman's story, the more Charley believes it. In the meantime, the sexy, sultry son of Satan, Reyes Farrow, has been cleared of all charges. He is out of prison and out of Charley's life, as per her wishes and several perfectly timed death threats. But his absence has put a serious crimp in her sex life. While there are other things to consider, like the fact that the city of Albuquerque has been taken hostage by an arsonist, Charley is having a difficult time staying away. Especially when it looks like Reyes may be involved. Just when life was returning to normal, Charley is thrust back into the world of crime, punishment, and the devil in blue jeans.

Excerpt:

With renewed energy, I pulled back onto Academy— after hitting a
drive- through for a mocha latte— and had just started for home when
my phone rang.
“Yes?” I said, illegally talking on the phone while driving within the
city limits. Scoping for cops, I waited for Uncle Bob to stop talking to
whomever he was talking to and get back to me.
My uncle Bob, or Ubie as I most often referred to him, was a detective
for APD, and I helped him on cases from time to time. He knew I
could see the departed and used that to his advantage. Not that I could
blame him.
“Get that to her, then call the ME ay- sap.”
“Okay,” I said, “but I’m not sure what calling the medical examiner
ay- sap is going to accomplish. I’m pretty sure his name is George.”
“Oh, hey, Charley.”
“Hey, Uncle Bob. What’s up?”
“Are you driving?”
“No.”
“Have you heard anything?”
Our conversations often went like this. Uncle Bob with his random
questions. Me with my trying to come up with answers just as random.
Not that I had to try very hard. “I heard that Tiff any Gorham, a girl I
knew in grade school, still stuff s her bra. But that’s just a rumor.”
“About the case,” he said through clenched teeth. I could tell his teeth
were clenched because his words were suddenly forced. That meant he
was frustrated. Too bad I had no idea what he was talking about.
“I wasn’t aware that we had a case.”
“Oh, didn’t Cookie call you?”
“She called me a doody- head once.”
“About the case.” His teeth were totally clenched again.
“We have a case?”
But I’d lost him. He was talking to another officer. Or a detective. Or
a hooker, depending on his location and accessibility to cash. Though I
doubted he would tell a hooker to check the status of the DOA’s autopsy
report. Unless he was way kinkier than I’d ever given him credit for.
I found his calling me only to talk to other people very challenging.
“I’ll call you right back,” he said. No idea to whom.
The call disconnected as I sat at a light, wondering what guacamole
would look like if avocados were orange.
I finally shifted my attention to the dead kid in my backseat. He had
shoulder- length blond hair and bright blue eyes and looked somewhere
between fifteen and seventeen.
“You come here often?” I asked him, but my phone rang before he
could say anything. That was okay. He had a vacant stare, so I doubted
he would have answered me anyway.
“Sorry about that,” Uncle Bob said. “Do you want to discuss the
case?”
“We have a case?” I said again, perking up.
“How are you?”
He asked me that every time he called now. “Peachy. Am I the case? If
so, I can solve this puppy in about three seconds. I’m heading down San
Mateo toward Central in a cherry red Jeep Wrangler with a questionable
exhaust system.”
“Charley.”
“Hurry, before I get away!”

Excerpt:

Music blared, and the scents and smoke from marijuana and cigarettes rolled into the street from the party in the apartment overlooking the alley in which Decker stood. He sought the entrance to the building and walked through the hallways, until he found a stairwell to the fourth floor. Down another corridor, he found the party. People, trash and alcohol spanned across several apartments.
Using his magick, he reached out to identify where the newly Dark soul was and followed his instincts. He jostled his way through the humans, unconcerned with them, when the prey he hunted was nearby.

He sensed several witchlings here, both Dark and Light. The Darkness was creeping into his mind again, ready to take control of his body. He wanted … needed it to help him this night, after the kiss with the blond girl.

The soul he sought wasn’t in the main room. He walked through the first hallway and opened one door. The couple within was in the throes of sex. The sight left him aroused, the fire in his blood adding to his agitated magick. They were humans, not witchlings.
He went to the second door and opened it. Five witchlings – three Light, one Dark and one newly Dark – were gathered around a pentagram. In the center of the pentagram was the pale, naked body of a brunette. Two of the Light witchlings – both girls – were crying. He sensed by the Light Law broken that someone had tried blood magick to help the human girl in the center, who had overdosed.

She was dead. There was no bringing her back. His eyes took in her pale skin and the dark hair fanning around her head. She was built much like the soul mate he’d lost. An image of Summer’s naked body in the moonlight flashed through his thoughts. He’d spent a weekend with her in his parent’s cabin, making love to her and learning more about the girl meant to be his mate.

The vision in his head changed. Summer was replaced by the blond girl whose kiss destroyed what little Decker held sacred: the memory of his time Summer. He shouldn’t have kissed the blond. He’d failed Summer in life. He’d betrayed her in death.
Tonight is the night you choose. The voice belonged to Bartholomew-the-Terrible, the long-dead Dark Master. If you kill the Light witchlings, the Darkness will take away your pain.
Guilt rose, followed by resolve. Decker stared at the girl’s body then turned his gaze to the three Light witchlings. All eyes were on him. Judging by the glazed looks, they were drugged. Only one had the sense to look terrified when she recognized that the Dark Master stood in their midst.

Decker hesitated. The Light witchlings were innocent, their eyes already red with tears from crying over their friend.
You’ll have peace at last, Bartholomew told him. Everyone you love will be protected from what you are. All you have to do is kill them.

With a deep breath, Decker turned to close the door and lock it. He stretched his neck and rolled his shoulders. The Darkness was at the edge of his mind, waiting to see what he chose to do.
Decker withdrew the knife and wound his fingers through the hair of the nearest Light witchling, pulling her head back to expose her vulnerable neck.

Was he ready to cross the point of no return?

Why Indies Rock!

Why Indies Rock!

First let me say that I’m so happy to be a part of this tour. I chose this date because it’s my birthday and being able to show my love and support for all the hard working indie authors out there is one of the best presents I could ask for!

I never knew indie authors existed until I bought my E-Reader almost 2 years ago. I know it’s crazy! The very first indie book I read was Lizzy Ford’s Damian's Oracle: War of Gods. Ever since then I’ve been hooked not just on Lizzy’s books, though I am a huge fan but on a ton of other indie’s as well. I don’t think everyone really knows how hard indie authors work to bring us their stories, from researching, hiring an editor, cover artists, promoting, buying their own swag to giveaway and many hours writing and that is just the start. Don’t forget they spend hours on social network sites like Facebook chatting and answering questions from their fans! That right there says a lot it’s great to be able to talk to an author whose book you fell in love with.

I’ve only been a reviewer for almost a year but I have met some amazing people indie and published who have become great friends and I love you all dearly. If you are one of the people who has never read or heard of indie author’s please take a look I will grantee you there is an indie book out there that you will just fall in love with. I will be the first to admit I’m 100% addicted to reading Indie books.

About the Author

Gracen is a small town girl who was transplanted to the big city almost ten years ago. She describes herself as a hopeless daydreamer masquerading as a “normal” person in Southern society. When not writing, she’s a full-time basketball/football/guitar mom for her two sons and a devoted wife to her real-life hero-husband. She’s addicted to writing, paranormal romance novels and movies, Alabama football and coffee…addictions are not necessarily in order of priority. She is convinced coffee is nectar from the gods and blending coffee and writing generates the perfect creative merger. Many of her stories are spawned from these coffee highs.
