Red Madrassa Tour

Tour Schedule

Red Madrassa by Terah Edun

A magical accident threw them together. But when Fate holds all the cards, it can be impossible to tell the difference between pure chance and Destiny...

The Madrassa, a magical school for mage practitioners, is the stuff of legend. With selective entrance exams and quotas for only the most advanced of mage children, it's almost impossible to attend.

When Allorna, a guardian trainee for the royal family, ends up on the doorstep of the citadel on the eve of the final day of a recruitment ceremony, she decides it must be fate.

She was sure she knew the path her life would take before she enrolled. But sometimes life has a way of throwing in magical curveballs and strange friends, just to see if you’ll trip up.

Oh, and one of those friends is a mage accused of murder, another is a slightly psychotic dragon, the third a healer facing an existential crisis, and the last is a female storm-caller with more hidden secrets than a thief lord.

Do they all belong at the new school they call home?

Red Madrassa Is a great book For those who like to read YA Fantasy. The book goes back and forth between 5 different characters Who are all unique and have different stories on how they came to be together. At first it's a little confusing with everything going back and forth but once you get used to it you really don't notice. There's a lot that happens in the beginning of the book do you keep you interested.. Although once things start to pick up you really get interested in the storyline and all the characters. I found a really interesting learning about each one of them and why the ended up where they are now. I'm really looking forward to the second book to see what happens next

Excerpt:

Sitara was curious to learn how they all had arrived at the Madrassa. "I know Vedaris and I were in the healer's ward, and I was brought in by a group of friends...you guys. But the last two weeks before that is just a blur," she murmured.
Sidimo angled his head as he sat back with a shrug, "How do you know that it's just two weeks that you're missing?"
Sitara replied, "Clan Feast Day was a bit more than two weeks before, and I remember being out in the night market with my sister. After that everything is fuzzy."
"Fair enough," replied Sidimo."It wasn't that eventful, really. Just before we found you, all I remember thinking is that the mountainside was coming down on us."
" Really, Sidi!" chided Allorna. "There were a few small rocks tumbling down the mountain, that was all. When we rounded the bend, there you were, slumped on the ground."
            "Bend? What bend?".
Shifting anxiously, Maride muttered, "Near the Abbas gate? It's where we came through."
Sitara didn't notice his hesitation, but Vedaris frowned, thinking, Hasn't the Abbas been closed for decades?
"So the three of you came through the gate, and I fell down a cliff?" Sitara asked with exasperation.
"As far as we know, yes," replied Allorna.
"Why don't we go check out this cliff?" Vedaris suggested.
Sitara cocked her head and said, "You know, that's not a bad idea. Maybe we'll find some clues as to how I got there."
Maride looked as if he were about to be sick.
"Good point. The Abbas gate isn't that far away," Allorna replied. So they got up—Maride reluctantly—and hiked out of the Citadel, then down through the town, retracing the steps of that fateful journey a few weeks before. They walked quietly, everyone drifting off into their own thoughts.
When they started up the white path to the ledge, Sitara and Vedaris, who hadn't made that journey before (at least not consciously, in Sitara's case), saw that trees and dead limbs partially obscured the area from prying eyes. When they arrived at the ledge, a trail of disturbed brush and dirt clearly marked the path of Sitara's tumble. She remarked as she looked off to the right, "It looks like this ledge slopes upward. Mind if we follow it for a bit to see where it leads?"
No one minded, so they did, and soon came upon the Abbas portalway. Making only a few comments, they walked past it, continuing along the upward slope; it was curving back around the village toward the Madrassa. When they turned a sharp corner they found, to their surprise, the very edge of the Ameles Forest.

4/5 Stars
Thunderstorm is a wonderful read that had me hooked within the first chapter. I could not and I refused to put it down until I was finished. This book is fast paced and will keep you on your toes throughout the whole story. Everything you thought you knew about the Bible and Adam n Eve is completely thrown out the door. I loved how it didn't just have 1 God but all of the God's from all of the different religions. Thunderstorm have everything you want to read in a Urban Fantasy/Paranormal Romance book, dragons, demons, vampires, gods, goddesses and shifters. This book is full of action, suspense and romance that will keep you coming back for more. I know I'm now a huge fan and I cannot wait for the next book!

Dika and her sisters are direct descendants of Lilith. Her and her sisters must save the world with their guardians and family by their sides they must take on a horrible evil, an evil that will come knocking at the door sooner than I thought and if they don't the universe will cease to exist.

Character Interview  Dika Edens

Thank you Steph for being here. I did

not expect anyone over so excuse the

mess. We have had a rough couple of

days. But thank you for talking to us.

For everyone that has not read

Thunderstorm by J.M. Schroder we are

hosting her character Dika Edens and

getting to know her a bit better.

Dika, why don’t you start out by telling

us a bit about yourself, for those that

haven’t read the book and then maybe

give some details about you that the

book doesn’t touch on.

I am a 150 year-old woman that was

just informed that I must save the world

from the devil and his wife. I have 3

awesome sisters one of which….well I

can’t say…(Pause)(deep breath) anyways

I just met my Dragon and OMG well you

will just have to see for yourself. Damn

he is fine.

How is it having three sisters and being

the daughter of Lilith all at the same

time?

Not Daughter she is my grandmother. It

is great being the big sister. But Hell,

finding out what I have. It is amazing. I

love my grandmother. But she had

plenty of time to tell us what we are and

what we had to do. But anyways. Let’s

move on.

Do you ever feel that maybe you could

have had a normal life and not had to

worry about saving the world?

Yes and no. It is hard for a woman that

doesn’t age to have a normal life. You

know. Forever and all, people talk.

Tell us about Chrome?

Why don’t you just take a look he is

right there. That is all you need to know.

The rest is between us well when we

figure it out.

Is there anything that the book doesn’t

tell us as far your feelings about your

gift or curse? Your feelings of your

mother? Of Chrome? Of having to save

the world itself?

There is a lot my book doesn’t tell you

about the curse, because the damn Gods

don’t tell you anything. They keep it to

themselves until they think it is time to

tell you.

My mother, well I love her, but so much

is up in the air right now. We will have

to see how things work out.

I don’t think it is my responsibility to

save the world, but the Gods made it my

duty.

Chrome well I find him as sexy as hell

and I feel as if I have known him

forever, but we are just learning about

each other. The sex however is fantastic.

What do we have to look forward to in

book 2?

Yes you will and a lot of things will be

answered. But you will have to wait and

see.

What People Are Saying About It
Completely sucked into this book....and that is no pun towards the vampires involved. Everyone, religious or not, has heard the major stories of the Bible....Adam and Eve, Cain and Abel, and Samson and Delilah. This book is an incredible spin off those stories.
Main characters Dika and Chrome are amazing. As Dika who views herself as plain an ordinary in comparison to her sisters is adored by her dragon Chrome. Any woman would consider herself blessed and lucky to be described as Chrome describes Dika.
This book is action packed and now I am thoroughly disappointed that I have to wait for the next installments!" –Jeannie Christo, Goodreads reviewer

“This author is currently one of my new favorites!  Her stories are fast paced and well written.  I had to force myself to put my kindle down in order to sleep!” – Ashlee Vaughn 2012 Goodreads review

“Cool! It’s a great read!!”  Tamara Beard Goodreads reviewer

 December 28, 2012 I was curious, when I

read the blurb, as to how this spin would be a

successful PNR, but Ms. Schroder makes it

work. There are some typographical errors, but

I was so engrossed in the story that it didn't

really matter much. The heroine, Dika, grows

throughout the story and the hero, Chrome Jai,

is protective and strong... I can't wait to read

the next book. I didn't get enough of the

Daughters... I almost wish I'd found

Thunderstorm after the author had released a

few more in the series... Can I have more

please? - Mandymonkey – Amazon Reviewer

2012

I was lucky enough to read an ARC of

Thunderstorm (Daughters of Eden) and all I

can honestly say about it is this:

WOW!!!

I wasn't sure what to expect at first...I think we

are all a little nervous, picking up an author

we may not have heard of before. Now? Yeah-

 counting my LUCKY STARS!

From the very first pages, J.M. Schroder has

her fingers into you and you are helpless to

escape!

This wasn't at all what I'd expected. I ADORE

Dika! She grows and as she learns who/what

she is, I felt like I, the reader, was right there

with her.

I would also, RIGHT NOW, like to ask Santa

to add one Chrome Jai to my Christmas list!

This story is truly an original and honestly, I'm

not sure five stars is even enough to rate it!

TEN STARS wouldn't get us half way there!

I'm telling you right now..yeah...YOU! That

person who is reading this and waffling...make

the purchase! You will not be sorry you did!!”

Sugar & Spice Tour

A Love Soul Deep by Amber Scott

A gold locket catches her eye and her heart. Inside the tiny gold frame is a picture of the one man she compares all others to. The one that got away..

Can this locket, one wish, bring back the love she lost?

What Crew would do for Sara, from A Love Soul Deep, for Valentine’s Day...

The thing about Crew is he’s unconventional. He’d rather be in ripped jeans than a suit and tie any day of the week and not because he’s poor or uneducated. Because he doesn’t care what others think. He does however, care very much about what Sara thinks.

Crew didn’t know he loved Sara til he almost lost her. And he almost lost her because of his own idiot behavior. Having a second chance at winning her heart means the world to him. He wants to spend the rest of his life making up for his mistake.

Every day is a chance at this, but Valentine’s Day is special. Sara will never expect what he’s got up his sleeve. Mostly because sleeves aren’t his thing. Let alone having anything up them.

There’s a spot up north his parents used to take him as a kid. Camping gear packed, Crew is taking Sara to his favorite little waterfall right next to a sort of cave in the rocky wall where in late spring, a tiny pool remains. This time of year there won’t be snow, thankfully, but the low temperatures mean packing for it and brand new wool mittens and socks are part of her gift.

There’s an elm not far from the watering hole that his dad carved a heart into once. A week ago, he carved one in, too. “S+C 4-ever.”

Sara gets him like no one else in the whole world gets him. And while he definitely has nerves about it, he’s pretty sure she will love his choice in rings. The large pillow cut amethyst sits in a white gold bed with four small diamond points and a sort of filigree pattern that the lady at the shop said represented the paths we take in life. The ring from an old estate sale spoke to him.

He knew she’d love the ring, actually. The more he pictured it on her hand, the surer he became.

The only question that remained was could he make this the best Valentine’s Day ever because she’d say yes.

Only In Time by Kelli McCracken

Jonah McCabe made a horrible mistake six years ago that cost him his chance at happiness. Then fate interceded.

A last minute favor has him coming face to face with the past. Every beautiful inch of it. Her laughter still echoed in his mind. As did the pain in her voice the day she left.

Can he make things right in a race against the clock or will time continue to work against him?

From Only In Time, what Jonah would do for Ally for Valentine’s Day...

It’s been six years since Jonah and Ally celebrated Valentine’s Day, together... And even then, it was never anything major. Normally the movies. With Cassie tagging along. If he’d listened to his heart all those years ago, he wouldn’t have missed any of those other holidays. Nor would Cassie have continued to accompany them everywhere.

All of that changed this year. He’d see to it. Would do everything in his power to give her a day she wouldn’t forget. Because that’s what love was about. Giving every part of yourself to the other person. To make them laugh and smile for the rest of their life. Not because you have to, but because you want to. Your heart would explode if you couldn’t express the emotions knotting inside it.

Second chances were rare. Just like the magic in the air. Magic that had entered their lives. Maybe the universe was on his side. God knows time never was. But time didn’t matter anymore. Never really had when it came to his love for Ally. That type of love was timeless.

So Valentine’s Day would be special. They’d go up to Tybee Island, the place where it all started. Their last visit here hadn’t left his mind. How could it when he’d discovered her feelings for him had changed. They could walk along the shore, relax on the beach, listen to the hum of the ocean. This time of year, it wouldn’t be as crowded. He didn’t want to share this moment with anyone but her.

He’d wait until the sun started setting before he’d take her to a covered swing. She’d get lost in the waves rolling in. That’s when he’d do it. Serenade her. He had the perfect song, too. Had written it for her many years ago.

And while his fingers strummed his guitar, he’d meet her eyes and sing words only meant for her. Words that revealed how he never wanted to lose her. How he’d always knew she was the one. How a brown-eyed girl stole his heart from the moment he laid eyes on her. Even as a kid.

Then he’d whisper words he’d held in his heart for six long years. Ally...will you be mine?

Sweet Serendipity by Elena Gray

Silence is golden. Honesty...not so much.

Gwen Palmer's saucy mouth gets in the way of her heart's desire...again. Just when she is about to trade her baker's hat for a nun's habit, she comes face to face with her idol, Ethan Reynolds.

Ethan isn't immune to Gwen's loose lips. Nor her quirkiness. And something about her smile tugs at his heart. Will he look beyond her outrageous remarks and see the truth inside? Or will Gwen lose her one chance at true love?

What Sweet Serendipity’s Ethan would do if Gwen were his Valentine...

Ethan’s nerves built on the knot in his stomach. If it grew any tighter, he’d have a constrictor knot. He’d never been this nervous. Had never been this unsure of anything. Then again, he’d never met anyone like Gwen before.

Would she accept his invitation? Hard to say with all the mixed signals she’d sent him over the past few weeks. It had him reeling. He’d never opened himself up to a woman like this. What if she rejected him?

Guess he couldn’t think about that now. He needed to finalize his plans. They’d start with dinner at his place. A crackling fire would accompany hundreds of votive candles. He’d space them out through the room to give it an illuminated effect. Of course, you couldn’t have a romantic setting without music. Nothing too mushy, though. His favorite band Lifehouse would be perfect.

For dinner, he would prepare filet mignon in a garlic sauce with lobster mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. He could make this dish with his eyes closed. That’s not what had him concerned.

Dessert did. It proved to be the greatest challenge. He never questioned his skills in the kitchen, until Gwen. He’d never tasted food as delicious as hers. So he was sticking with something simple, something decadent. Warm molten chocolate cake with a strawberry garnish.

Getting her a gift seemed forward for their first Valentine’s Day date. But this one seemed right. Not chocolates, flowers, or jewelry. For her, this was special.

He’d spent countless hours on the internet, searching for the perfect item and almost coming up empty. Then he’d found it. A picture of Gwen and her grams in front of her bakery. She must have been seven or eight. Her hair in braids. She looked happy and at home.

The package lay wrapped on the coffee table. The bright red satin bow fastened around pale pink paper. Tucked inside was a canvas print, a happy reminder of all the times she spent baking with her grandmother.

At least, he hoped it would bring her happiness. Hoped that one day, he could be the reason she smiled. Maybe she’d realize that he could see past the craziness that spilled from her mouth. All he needed was this one night to prove how hard he’d fallen for her.
