Indie Monday with Sadie S. Forsythe

The Weeping Empress by Sadie S. Forsythe

I'd like to welcome Sadie S. Forsythe , Who is our Indie author on this lovely Monday!  You can find Sadie's book on Amazon. be sure to visit her  website also.

1.What would you like your readers to know about this book or you in general?
About the book: it's an epic fantasy with a strong female lead, an unobtrusive message, and some fancy swordplay--recently described as bad@ass.
About me: It's my first novel and I couldn't be happier about it.

2. Share the blurb from the book that you've written that you like best.
Chiyo Alglaeca was happy in her life. That is, until it was all taken away. Forced into notoriety, stalked by a mysterious cult, hunted by the emperor, and facing betrayal at every turn she clings to the only safety she can find: two enigmatic men and the sharp bringer of death, Salvation. The Weeping Empress explores the devastating effects of loss, the hunt for redemption, and the price of destiny. It questions the true meaning of evil and asks what monster is not also an innocent

  3.  What led you to self-publishing?
Oh gosh, I find the traditional publishing industry terrifying. I never even approached them - maybe in the future, but not yet. I made an effort to utilize many of the same professionals available to books of the traditional houses though.
4.  How do you manage your writing day? Do you write full time?
I don't get to write full-time - I wish. At the moment I don't have a lot of time to write at all, but when I am able to, I like to write in the mornings when my mind is fresh. I also often work scenes out in my mind when doing boring repetitive things like exercising.
  5. What has been the biggest challenge in your writing/publishing life so far?
Definitely have the courage to present the final product to the world. The Weeping Empress has been released to overall praise, and I am so excited about it (as well a just a bit relieved).
 6. Is there anything else you'd like us to know?
The Weeping Empress is not a cliffhanger, but there will be a sequel to it in the future. It will delve deeper into how exactly the events of The Weeping Empress came to be.
