Book Description
An ancient prophecy warns of a girl destined to cause the extinction of the vampire race.
So when 17-year-old Axelia falls into a sacred well filled with blood and emerges a vampire, the immortal empire believes she is this legendary destroyer. Hunted by soldiers and mercenaries, Axelia and her reluctant ally, the vampire bladesmith Lucas, must battle to survive.
How will she convince the empire that she is just an innocent teenager-turned bloodsucker and not a creature of destruction? And if she cannot, can a vampire who is afraid of bugs summon the courage to fight a nation of immortals?
Review
Warning this is not your average vampire story! I loved how What Kills Me is a bit on the Dark side, there is a lot of action and twists in this in this book once you thought you knew what was going to happen it completely flips.  I could not put it down something was always happing from the 1st few pages I was sucked in until the very end. I love how Zee grows throughout the book she goes from a normal high school kid who has no worries to a strong independent Young  women ready to take on the world in the fight for her life.
Axelia (Zee) is a 17 year old Canadian (I did not see that coming at all.) Who goes to study abroad for a few months.  Her best friend told her to take some chances and have fun, so she takes her up on her offer when she meets this hot stranger who helps her when she gets lost. Well from here things take a turn for the worst.  Zee is thrown into a the world of the paranormal where damn near everyone wants to kill her, She must fight to live when the vampire world condemns her to die because of an ancient prophecy that warns of a girl destined to cause the extinction of the vampire race. Will she be able to save herself and Lucas who has proved he will stand by her no matter what happens?
