The Keeper

               The Keeper by

(Review Book)
Rating:

The morning of her sixteenth birthday, Billie feels blessed despite the reoccurring nightmare that wakes her. Loving parents, a caring boyfriend, and great friends surround her until an heirloom necklace throws her into a world she never imagined.

“Gifted” with supernatural powers and an unexpected destiny as the Keeper, Billie and a mysterious boy from her past must work together to find answers. But, as they begin to discover feelings for one another, he disappears leaving her to fight evil alone. Her life spirals out of control. She breaks up with her boyfriend, Tony, and alienates her best friends Arianna and Jocelyn to protect them from the truth.

As dark forces pursue her, Billie longs to run away from it all, yet a need to do what’s right compels her to face the future as the keeper of more than her own fortune.

I loved the storyline and the characters. It’s refreshing to see something different done with paranormal romance besides the normal ghosts, Vampire and Angels ect.  It has to be one of my favorite books. You really get a feel for what Billie Is going though.  She awakes on her sixteenth Birthday from a nightmare and she is also coming into her powers as The Keeper. If that's not enough, her mother gives her a necklace that has been handed down in their family for generations on their sixteenth birthday. When her mother puts it around her neck she passes out.
At school she starts to talk to and old childhood friend and he tells her all sorts of things she has a little bit of a hard time coming to terms with it but takes it in stride. They both try and work together so she can try and control her Power and from there things quickly turn into a love triangle, relationships end and new ones begin. Billie has a lot of hard choices to make for herself and all the while evil is trying to kill her everywhere she turns.
